Curlews Wall Clock
This is a new version of my Curlews wall clock, new in 2026. I wasn’t able to make enough of the old design to keep up with demand, so I have had to use different etching methods, although I still sometimes have some of the old style with text on them, and another etched version that is oval but without text, ask me! It’s also possible to do a standing version, again ask.
It is handmade in brass and copper. It shows the beautiful silhouettes of two curlews, typical (and threatened) Northumbrian birds, we hear them calling across the moors in summer, and feeding at the coast in the winter.
As the clock is cut out and etched by me by hand, each one comes out a bit different. The main body of the clock comes in a beautiful turquoise verdigris colour. The clock hands are black, and show up well against the background.
It is 16cm tall, 18cm across, and has a battery powered movement. It is designed to hang on the wall.
